  • 1. How do I open a bank account and what do I need to bring?

    We have a range of accounts to suit your needs. Visit our accounts pages for more information about our Current, Savings and Fixed accounts.

    If you are looking for more from your account, you can open an elite account.

    To open an account simply visit your local ibq branch and bring your Qatari ID, passport with Resident Permit ID and an introductory letter or salary certificate.

  • 2. How can I change my address and contact details with you?

    To change your address, simply contact our Call Centre on 4447 8000 or visit your local branch with the correct ID, such as passport or driving license.

  • 3. Can I get text message alerts about my bank account?

    With our SMS banking you have the flexibility to follow up on your latest account transactions from anywhere in the world 24 hours a day.

    Our SMS banking service lets you know when transactions over QAR 100 take place in your accounts, when your salary is credit and when transactions are approved on your credit card. The service can also send you information and updates on all your account and credit card balances, statements and transactions using our simple and easy to use code system.

  • 4. What are my account terms and conditions?

    When you open your account you sign up to our account terms and conditions in your Customer Agreement. This applies to most of the accounts you have with us.
